5 DAYS SERENGETI BALLOON SAFARI
Day 1: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK
Lake Manyara provides a perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded here, expect to see more than 100 species in one single day. A narrow belt of acacia woodland is the place for Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions while sightings of elephants are also possible. Late afternoon drive to your accommodation for dinner and overnight as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.
Day 2: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti National Park, a World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO, is home to around 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelle which join in with the annual migrating herds of wildebeest in search of fresh grazing land. Our experienced driver tour guide will provide you with interesting facts about this highly renowned event, which makes Tanzania one of the top safari destinations in Africa. Overnight will be as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.
Day 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti National Park has spectacular scenery especially during the Wildebeest Great Migration which normally starts from late June to September and goes around depending on the nature of the climate. If by chance you view the migration while on your balloon (the next day) this will be a memorable safari adventure in Africa. Sometimes it is possible to witness predators such as lion, leopard or cheetah hunting prey such as antelopes or zebra. Overnight will be as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.
Day 4: OPTINAL BALLOON SAFARI IN SERENGEETI NATIONAL PARK
You have the option to do an early morning balloon safari at Serengeti and this will be followed by another game drive at Serengeti National Park. The balloon safari starts from dawn, around 6:30 am, when you will be transferred by our safari vehicle from your accommodation to meet your balloon and pilot in the central Serengeti. At the end of the flight enjoy a champagne celebration after landing in the African bush. After the celebration each participant will be awarded a certificate of ballooning in Tanzania followed by a bush style continental breakfast before continuing with your next safari activity.
Normally the balloon takes about eight passengers, children under 7 are not allowed and there is no limitation of the above age as long as you are fit. It is wise to contact your doctor at home if you are having back problems before attempting this safari as when landing most of the time you will experience bumping. Conditions are generally favorable year round in Serengeti and flights are available throughout the year depending on weather
Day 5: NGORONGORO CRATER
Early morning game drive in Ngorongoro Crater, the ‘eighth wonder of the world’ and one of Africa’s best wildlife arenas. With a unique biosphere which has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time, thousands of large mammals can be found here including elephants, rhinos and lions. Overnight will be as per the standard and type of accommodation option requested.
Here are a few suggestions to make your honeymoon in the Serengeti memorable:
Luxury Accommodation: Consider staying at one of the luxurious lodges or tented camps within or near the park. These accommodations often offer private suites or tents with stunning views, exceptional service, and romantic amenities.
Game Drives: Embark on game drives together to explore the Serengeti’s wildlife. You’ll have the chance to spot the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) as well as numerous other animals such as giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and wildebeest.
Hot Air Balloon Safari: Take a hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti at sunrise. It’s a romantic and unique experience that allows you to witness the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife from a different perspective.

Cultural Experiences: Don’t miss the opportunity to learn about the local Maasai culture. You can visit Maasai villages, interact with the community, and experience their traditional dances and rituals.
